This is the ultimate question, the answer to which all men aspire to learn. It is the cause of much confusion and frustration, and more than a few misunderstandings. Do women like sex? Sure, they do. They just tend to approach it differently. Do women like it as much and as often as men? Well, not always, and unfortunately for the guys, studies have shown that the male sex drive is indeed stronger than that of women.
There is a stereotype that all a man needs to enjoy sex is for a woman to agree to it, while a woman needs flowers, a night out on the town, and a strong emotional connection. But while many love sex, there may be something to this stereotype. Does that mean the guys have to lose out? Not at all! What it does mean is that both partners need to understand each other. The question is not, “does my partner like sex,” but rather, “under what circumstances does my partner like sex.”
While a man may be ready for sex after a long day at work, a woman may need a little “winding down,” and may need to have a little context. Instead of just turning off the television after the evening news and going upstairs to have sex, a woman may like to have a little more of a romantic transition, and it’s important for the man to keep that in mind. It’s all in the context and the environment – you may be ready for sex when you come in from your workout and you’re still wearing your sweaty clothes, but don’t be surprised if your partner doesn’t get too excited about the idea. Understand what your partner wants and needs, and take the time to meet those needs. You may be surprised what a shower and a little cologne, some nice silk pyjamas, and a transition period of romantic music, strawberries, cream and a little wine will do to increase your partner’s level of interest. In short, most women need context, environment, and a little romance. Take time to meet those needs, and you’ll find that her sex drive is a lot bigger than you initially thought!
By the same token, let us again resort to the stereotype of the man who is horny at all times, and ready for sex regardless of the situation. Sure, you as a woman do want, expect, and deserve to be treated like a queen, but give your man a surprise now and then, too. There’s nothing a man loves more than surprise sex in a totally unexpected scenario. Let’s say he’s watching the sports news on television, and it would seem that sex is the furthest thing from his mind. Give him a little surprise—disappear for a moment, come back into the room in your sexiest nightie, and without a word, unzip his pants and give him a long, slow, sensual blow job.
Here’s the bottom line: Everybody likes sex, but the key to success is to understand when, where and how your partner appreciates it most.
