How to Increase your Confidence by Dressing Up

By Ekaterina Mironova

A lack of confidence is one of the main reasons why UK couples don't have as much kinky, steamy, swinging from the chandelier sex as our European neighbours. Self-confidence is difficult to achieve when you have body-related hang ups or performance anxieties which may restrict your interest in sex. But don't let confidence issues get the better of you! Switch those lights back on and read this post for tips on dressing up to increase your confidence in bed!

Assuming the personality of a character is a great way of removing all (or at least some!) of your inhibitions between the sheets. It is like becoming an actor or an actress; you will not feel like yourself anymore and therefore you will not carry any of your usual self-confidence issues. Dressing up and role-play have been very popular as a way of letting your hair down for many years and a multi-billion pound industry has grown around them producing sexy fancy-dress outfit for this very purpose! Popular scenarios include cops and robbers, doctors and nurses, fireman, and superheroes. It can be hard to choose a scenario so just go with whatever attracts you but remember to discuss your choices beforehand! You don't want to dress as a nurse if he's scared to death of hospitals!

Dressing up in something sexy for yourself or for your partner is not the only way of increasing your self-confidence. You will be shocked at how much more confident you feel out in public if you take some time over your look. Choose your outfit carefully and make sure that your wardrobe includes some bright and cheerful colours and styles. Taking some time over your makeup and hair will also make you feel amazing. In today's busy world you probably feel like you don't have time in the morning to apply makeup, but I'm not suggesting trowelling it on. Just a light-reflecting tinted moisturiser, a dab of blusher and some mascara is enough to make you look bright and awake.
