Sex Myths Busted!

By Ksenia Sobchak

As we grow up we tend to hear lots of supposed 'facts' about sex which have an impact upon us well into our adults lives, especially throughout the hormone-fuelled teen years. As young and gullible people teens are prone to putting a little too much stock in what they are told by their friends and peers, especially when it comes to advice pertaining to the number one teen pastime; sex.

You may not know it but what you learned about sex in your teen years could still be having an effect on your sex life now that you are all grown up. Take a look below at the top sex myths busted!

Men only fancy porn stars - just because many men (and women!) like to watch porn does not mean that they have a real life urge to only sleep with people who look just like the plastic fantastic specimens on screen. Sure, many men like big boobs and a pert bum, but that doesn't necessarily translate into them only being attracted to big boobed women. Great sex is about love and intimacy; a connection between two people which has little to do with how each person looks. Also, chucking yourselves around and moaning at the top of your lungs like a wild animal is more likely to put your partner off than to turn them on"

Only girls need foreplay - erm, wrong! Foreplay is essential for a man to really enjoy the encounter. Granted he may not need as much foreplay as you to get going but he will certainly appreciate a warm up before the big event.

Men should be the ones in control of contraception - well if this was the case then our rates of teen and unwanted pregnancy would be even higher than they already are as leaving a man to sort the birth control is a terrible idea. Girls, you should be packing to! Play safe"

Men like you to perform a little strip tease - some men do, some men don't. It all depends on what kind of guy he his. Exhibitionists will really enjoy watching their lady dance around naked, however more reserved guys will probably feel awkward. I know that my fiance enjoys taking my clothes off himself. He says it's like unwrapping a present!

Men like to be dominant in bed - again, this is very much about personal choice and you need to mix it up a bit. Take turns being the one in charge and perhaps engage in some light S&M; to really flex your Domina muscles! It's a well-known fact that for some men the thought of relinquishing control is a huge turn on.
