The World's First Flat-Pack Vibrator

By Elena Ognivtseva

LELO, the leading designer in luxury sex toys, have just celebrated their tenth birthday. In 2003, an engineer and two designers met to discuss the perfect gift for a female friend who had it all. She was turning 40 and didn't need trinkets or new gadgets. She had books and handbags. She needed something amazing. They decided to buy her a sex toy, but after hours of failed shopping for something luxurious, tasteful and attractive - they realised that they had a job to do.

And we're so grateful.

This month, LELO have done something amazing. In a nod to their Swedish roots, they've released the world's first flat-pack vibrator. It's an eco-friendly sex toy from start to finish - the world's first. It is made from 100% recycled materials, and it arrives in eight separate parts so that you can (a) assemble everything together yourself for a DIY fix, and (b) save money on assembly costs. Ha.

The new aptly-named LELO G?SM is as Swedish as you can imagine, and the branding and packaging is exceptionally similar to their Swedish furniture production friends, IKEA. With brown eco-packaging and DIY instructions, this LELO toy is going to be an entertaining gift for a friend who has taste and a great sense of humour.

The DIY sex toy will set you back a whopping $180 or £120, which makes it one of the more expensive toys in the LELO collection - besides the gold ones, of course, which can set you back up to £10,000.00.

Could this be an April Fool's Joke? The vibrator is on the LELO website and is not available to purchase online, although it suggests that the best way to order your very own LELO G?SM is to get in touch with the PR team.
