Do Cock Rings Make You Last Longer?

Do Cock Rings Make You Last Longer?

By Elena Ognivtseva

It does not matter whether you suffer from premature ejaculation, or you just simply want to last as long as possible, at some time or another, all men have wanted to last longer than they do. It’s like how marathon runners are always talking about their PB (personal best) and they keep trying to beat their personal best. Being able to last longer not only creates more intense orgasms for you (the key to all mind blowing orgasms is in the anticipation) but also gives you the opportunity to try many different things in one session, and ensure your other half gets as many orgasms as possible.

Cock rings have recently become very popular, and one of the main reasons why is that they can help you last longer. Now let’s get one thing straight. Cock rings will not help you get hard (that’s the job of your other half!) But what they will do is allow blood to flow into your penis, but then stop the blood from leaving, allowing you to last longer. The way this works is that you put on your cock ring when your penis is still flaccid. As you get harder, your penis will naturally get thicker and harder, and the cock ring will tighten around your shaft. This stops the blood leaving your penis, and you’ll find you have a hard on that remains stronger for longer, with many men finding they also get a much thicker, engorged shaft as well.

Now it goes without saying, the more firm the cock ring is around your shaft, the less blood that is able to flow out of your penis, the harder and thicker you will be, and the longer you will last. But please do not take this to an extreme! There’s been many incidents where men have found themselves in very painful and very embarrassing situations because they have used a cock ring that is too firm, and they have been unable to take it off. We absolutely do not recommend rigid rings, such as those made from metals, like stainless steel, for beginners. Metal rings have no give whatsoever, and it takes an experienced man to judge the best diameter of cock ring for him (remember, the cock ring goes on when your penis is flaccid – you need to judge how much thicker you will get when erect so as to ensure the cock ring feels firm when you get hard, but not so hard you encounter painful problems). Instead, go either for soft, stretchy cock rings that have a lot of give, or go for cock rings that are adjustable.

A great set of beginners cock rings is the Tracey Cox EDGE Supreme Endurance Triple Stamina Ring Set, a set of three super comfortable, squishy and stretchy plastic cock rings. These are thick and doughnut shaped. The thickness will stop any issues with a cock ring that feels like it is ‘digging’ into your shaft, which can be painful (many beginners have this issue when they have bought thinner cock rings). And the doughnut shape makes these cock rings soft all over with no ‘edges’ – again, something the can be painful for beginners who have misjudged the size they need. Also, as there are three in the pack, all in different sizes, you can experiment with each one (we recommend starting with the largest diameter) to see how much constriction you want. As you get more proficient, you can even use more than one of these cock rings. Easy does it, but it all means you have the perfect excuse to have lots of steamy sessions with your other half trying these out.

Another great cock ring to try is the Doc Johnson Adjustable Silicone Cock Ring Set (2 Pack), a pack of two adjustable cock rings made from silicone with adjustable clear balls that act like toggles. One is a cock ring, the other is a double cock ring where one loop goes around the base of your shaft, and the other goes around your balls. Adjustable cock rings are great for beginners as it allows you to adjust the tension whilst having sex – or why not let your other half pull the reins? Have fun!
