Festival sex tips - How to have sex at a festival

By Ksenia Sobchak

These days many of the most popular festivals such as Glastonbury, Bestival and the Secret Garden Party can see you sleeping in your two man tent for upwards of 4 days! But resting under canvas doesn’t mean that you have to go without some hot and steamy loving!

In general, British people love a bit of camping; whether at a festival or on a summer holiday trip to the seaside. We may be miles away from our warm beds and the creature comforts of home, but there’s something primal about setting up our tents in a circle around a camp fire while the men BBQ (read incinerate!) the food, and the women watch the children playing. I love it; the feeling of being cosy in my sleeping bag, the fresh crisp air in the early morning when you first peak your head out of the tent, even wearing little or no makeup! So how can we enjoy all of this while still enjoying some sneaky sex? With a bit of planning and my top tips that’s how!

First of all make sure that you take a tent to the festival which allows you the freedom to move around. It’s much easier to have a steamy session when you can change position easily… so no tiny one man tents, instead go for something which is high enough for you to sit up (so that girl on top is possible). Secondly, make sure that the tent has mesh-covered vents for easy air circulation without the worry of a peeping Tom getting an eye full! Getting a bit hot and bothered is fine, but you don’t want to be boiling up, so fresh air is essential. Finally you may want to ensure that your airbed is slightly over-filled as having a firm surface beneath you will make the job much easier!

So the best positions for tent sex are probably missionary, girl on top and spooning. Spooning is possible in any type of tent as you don’t need to move around too much, and if you took my advice and got a larger tent then missionary and girl on top can also be put on the to-do list. As the positions available to you are limited, make sure that you spend plenty of time on foreplay and only start the sex when both of you are already close to orgasm.

Finally, here are a few festival sex don’ts! Don’t take any sex toys with you as the buzz will give the game away straight away! Also, try your best not to be too vigorous…I know it’s difficult but a burst airbed will cause untold misery and very loud moans and groans will lead to embarrassing stares and giggles come morning.
