How to Get Sexy 'Bed-Ready' Skin!
By Elena Ognivtseva
Ladies, having sexy, strokeable, fresh-smelling skin is essential for that all important boost to your between the sheets confidence. Your skin is the body’s biggest organ, and like the rest of the body it needs care and attention in order to perform at its best. We all want soft skin which is free from flaws and positively invites touches and caresses from our lover. But before you read my steps to bed-ready skin remember that we all have imperfections such as dry skin, pimples, stretch-marks and cellulite to contend with. No-one’s skin is 100% perfect (unless it’s airbrushed in a fashion magazine or a lad’s mag!), and our scars and marks tell a story. It’s about being comfortable in your own skin.
Follow my five step plan below for beautiful, healthy-looking and oh so touchable skin!
Diet:
Our diet has a huge impact on how healthy our skin looks. If you have a good diet full of fresh fruit and vegetables, wholegrains and oily fish your skin will glow with an inner vitality. If you eat fast food, processed meat and fizzy pop it won’t…simple really! I don’t want to sound preachy but if your diet sucks there’s very little you can do to improve the look and feel of your skin.
Cleanse:
Cleansing your skin with the correct products is not only important for your face, it is vital for your body. Try to stay away from anything too harsh. If you wouldn’t use it on your face, don’t use it on your body! Also, try to go for natural products; rubbing chemicals onto your skin will increase the amount of allergic reactions, breakouts and dry patches you experience.
Exfoliate:
Once your skin is squeaky clean grab a gentle exfoliator containing grains or sea salt and rub your skin gently but briskly all over to remove dead skin cells and increase circulation. This part of the plan will leave your skin looking and feeling smooth and bright and will lessen the appearance of cellulite. Be particularly careful when exfoliating your face as you can easily damage the delicate skin there. Also, sea salt scrub in the eyes is really rather unpleasant!
Moisturise:
Once your skin is clean and exfoliated you need to rub a silky moisturiser into it. The skin on your face will require a light moisturiser; however the skin on your body can take something a lot thicker such as a body butter. Again, go for products which are natural and not full of chemicals whose names you cannot pronounce! If you don’t know what it is, don’t rub it into your skin!
Enhance:
If you stopped at the moisturise step that would leave you with soft, smooth, fresh and glowing skin which your lover will not be able to resist. However, to crank it up a notch perhaps enhance your skin with a shimmery dust or a body glitter. Brush a small amount of the product over your chest, the tops of your arms and the top of your back before a night out, or all over if you have a sexy night in planned. You will feel like a goddess.
