How To Keep Your Sex Toys Clean

How to clean your sex toy
Sex toys are made from a wide variety of materials; plastic, glass, silicone, aluminium, PVC and depending on the shape and texture each require different care.
Ignoring vibrators and Fleshlights, the same method of cleaning can be used on most sex toys. Let’s take a normal silicone dildo for example. You should first apply a generous amount of an antibacterial sex toy cleaner, leave for a few minutes and then rinse under warm water or rub off any residue whilst submerged in warm water with either your hand or a soft cloth.
If you are cleaning anal toys you may wish to use a PH neutral or an antibacterial soap for a more thorough clean and these will avoid you experiencing any irritation the next time you use it.
How to clean your vibrator
It doesn’t matter if it’s a cock ring, rabbit or buttplug if it vibrates you need to take a little more care on how you clean it, but if it’s classed as fully waterproof follow the above cleaning instructions.
If it’s not waterproof remove the batteries and firmly replace the battery compartment screwing it tight. Use a liberal amount of sex toy cleaner before leaving it for a few minutes, rinse using a LITTLE warm water. Do not let water soak into the battery compartment as this can seriously damage your toy. Now leave it to thoroughly dry before replacing the batteries.
How to clean your male masturbator or Fleshlight
After using it, clean as soon as possible this avoids any long term damage. If there isn’t a hard casing to the masturbator spray the outside and entry hole with a generous amount of sex toy cleaner. Leave for a few minutes before using warm water to rinse thoroughly. For Fleshlights remove the outer case and clean separately before cleaning the inner sleeve as above before allowing to dry naturally. You can then apply the Fleshlight Renewing Powder to the inside and top of the sleeve to keep that real feel texture.
Once dry, apply a thin layer of Fleshlight Renewing Powder to the top and inside of your toy to restore that soft, realistic skin texture.
Storage
The simple rule is never store your sex toys so they are touching, this avoids them moulding together and damaging each other.
