Cold weather seems to make men want to be more sexual. Below are reasons why men want more sex during the winter season. 

Men get aroused more during winter than in any other season. Researchers believe that since women are more covered during winter, men want to see their skin, and this curiosity turns them on. Studies have shown that more children were conceived when the weather was cold than in any other season. Another study also connects the male desire for sex with the multiplication of sperms during winter. Men want more sex during winter because of the following reasons;

People Seem More Attractive During Winter

The heavy clothes and garments people wear during winter make people seem more attractive. Men are a curious gender. They find the person attractive based on the mystery they exude while covered in winter outfits. They cannot see the skin making them curious about what lies underneath. Men have sexual desires that can imagine nudity. Men wonder what they look like when nude. That imagination drives them crazy, and they are probably imagining them ripping off their clothes and getting nude. We thought that men like it when women wear fewer clothes, and indeed they do. Tight sexy clothes turn on men, but heavy winter wear also does the trick for a different reason. The fewer skin people show, the more attractive they are to some people. Heavily dressed people arouse some men. They may desire to explore things with that person and find out what they have underneath the clothes.

It Is the Holiday Season

No one wants to spend a holiday alone. During the winter season, most people get engaged. People tend to desire companionships during winter, even for the season only. According to YEOMAN (2006), this period is called the 'cuffing season’ since people desire to find lovers. It is the time of the year when people have the intense desire to couple up. The mood is usually happy, and people are more relaxed, probably taking a break from work to head for a vacation. Stress makes sex less enjoyable. When you are at work, sex is usually the furthest thing on your mind as you try to beat deadlines. When people go on vacations, they can change the scenery and sometimes the people they mingle with. This is beneficial for your sex life since you will experience more sex in a new setting. Moreover, people tend to mingle more when they are in a merrymaking mood. There is no schedule for most people during the holidays, and they, therefore, can be spontaneous.

More Cuddling

When it is very cold, couples tend to need warmth. When people cuddle, they gain sensual pleasure, comfort, security, and companionship. When all those are present, the couple has more sex. Grader (2007) stated that cuddling is not limited to age, size, gender, or acrobatic abilities. Cuddling releases a love hormone known as oxytocin. When a man is relaxed and comfortable, he will want to cuddle his partner. The more the man holds his partner, the more he wants to have sex. Cuddling gives men a feeling of intimacy that they cannot find in other activities. When the weather is cool and relaxed, and he is cuddling with a person he likes, the result will more often be sex. 

Sexercise

Most people do not exercise as much as they would during other seasons. Therefore, they find an alternative to burn calories. They resort to sex during winter. Researchers have established that sexual intercourse can burn 3-4 calories per minute. Since having sexual intercourse is like any other working out, more of it burns calories. Moreover, sex modifies exercises, as stated by Konhilas (2004).

Idling

When people are idle, they tend to have more sex. Sex to men is like entertainment. They view it as something they can do when they are bored. When they are not at work, they tend to feel idle, so the holidays mean more sex.

Flu and Cold

These conditions keep people in, which means they may need comfort and company. Comfort and company may come in the form of sexual intercourse.

Women Wearing Socks

The fact that wearing socks causes orgasms is backed up by Osteopathy (2020). Wearing socks during sexual intercourse increases your chances of having an orgasm. The blood vessels in your legs expand, improving blood flow. Men will want more sex because it motivates them when their women have orgasms. Moreover, wearing socks in bed can only happen naturally during winter.

Conclusion

Men seem to have a higher sex drive during winter. Winter is probably the best time to have the most sex because it is usually the holiday season. There is no more work and deadlines to meet. Your partner will not mind cuddling. There is so much time to have as much sex as you want. You are probably going out of the home for some vacation with your new partner. People tend to have more sex when far away from familiar surroundings and with a new romance. If you want to conceive, the best time is during winter because ejaculation is better, and women are usually more fertile.
