With ownership comes great responsibility. Seriously, if you want to keep anything you buy for years and years, you have to handle it with care. Personal items like adult toys are no different. These things, whether they are expensive or not are designed for our pleasure.

Gently cleaning your toys is the best route. All adult toys should come with instructions for cleaning and storing. If you have misplaced these instructions and you are not sure how to care for them you can always do some research on-line. In general it is not a good idea to submerge items with motors or detachable parts because water can get trapped in these areas. If your item is not designed to hold a charge or be plugged in in any way it should be safe to soak it in water.

Sex toys should be cleaned with gentle or mild soap. You don't want any soap residue on something that you are going to lodge in a private area! Items that are used for anal play need more cleaning than anything else because of the level of bacteria that they come in contact with. Drying your items should be done with something that is lint free. Suggestions for the best fabrics to use for this purpose are microfibers or terrycloth.

Storing adult toys is tricky. If you do not have any children or pets that are indelicately curious you can just store your adult toys in a cool dry place in a discrete place in your closet. It has been said that the best place to keep your toys when they are not being used is in their original packaging. If you have a lot of toys, which means too many boxes you might want to look into buying a toy box or a lockable vibrator case. Containers for your toys that can be locked are the best solution for those indelicate curious hands, questions, or paws that may find your adult items.
