ARE MEN AND WOMEN SEXUAL MINDS DIFFERENT
A man's brain is not the same as that of a woman. It is believed that a woman's brain is slightly smaller than that of a man. It makes a woman pick or allow certain features than a man. Men and women explore their sexuality in different ways, including; masturbation, sexual liberation, sex toys, and love.
The gonads, the testes, and ovaries produce testosterone. Testosterone is responsible for sex drive in both women and men. The testosterone level depends on a person's age, health, and sex. It is a sex hormone that is mostly connected to men. However, the level of testosterone is higher in males compared to women. It is changed into estrogen in women, while it remains to be testosterone in males. It makes the sexual mind of the man to be a little higher than that of a woman. Instances showing that men's and women's sexual minds are different includes;
Masturbation
It's a sexual activity involving one delving into exploring self sexually. It may or may not require sex toys during practice. It helps one identify and develop their sexual responses and express to their partners what they feel works best for them. Kabbash et al. (2017) advised that practicing masturbation makes it healthy. Every gender masturbates, although it's a choice for every individual. The question is, at what percentage do they vary. Men are believed to carry a higher percentage as compared to women. Men can openly say masturbate and be viewed as champions and celebrated. For them, it's a normal thing. Women will find it hard to open up and say that they masturbate without feeling the pressure of being judged. They most often are told to get married to get someone to satisfy them sexually. Society has been mean to women. Societal pressure has created a barrier for women to feel the need to explore themselves. The thought of a married woman masturbating makes the partner suggest that she is not getting sexual satisfaction.
Sexual Liberation
This movement has been introduced to eliminate the societal norms and traditionally expected behavior of a person sexually. Some women have come out to challenge them and have fought for freedom against such restrictions. Some women have decided to explore what pleases them sexually without feeling the other person's opinion matters. There has been an increase in orgy parties led by women. They can have sex with as many people as they want and not feel shame. Most men have not welcomed the idea of women having multiple partners. They are stuck with the opinion that it is normal for a man to have multiple sex partners than women.
Sex Toys
According to Döring (2021), the popular sex toys are vibrators, butt plugs, dildos, and handcuffs. Studies suggest women buy these toys more than men. Some of these women are in relationships while some are married. Their open-minded partners do not mind using the toys to please them. Most men are into exploring it in their women, but they are against the toys being used on them. Men who use toys are believed to be gays. Straight men believe that for men to use butt plugs or vibrators, they are gays, which is not the case. Women now use handcuffs and belts to practice rough sex. It is believed that women and men have different sexual minds.
Sexual arousal
It is a great feeling when having sex with someone you have developed feelings for. Men are aroused by what they see and not what they feel. Their mind is filled with sexual fantasies and thoughts. They get a hard-on and are sexually aroused instantly. For men to have sexual relations with women, feelings are not necessary. Men can have sex with a woman and not have emotions attached. Women can be sexually aroused and still not have sex because they need to develop emotions with a person before engaging in sexual acts. Men have sex with the physical attributes they admire, but women have sex with emotion and feelings.
Love
Men will always find it difficult to express their love to women. Women are quick to express their love to people they love, but it will be hard to connect with someone sexually if the person cannot express their love. Men end up losing women because of not being open to their feelings. Women find it easy to have sex with their partners because they're open to how they feel about them.
The Rainbow LGBTQ Family
According to Alimahomed (2010), LGBTQ refers to the Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. However, some question where they stand and try to figure out themselves sexually. It is always easier for women to come out and announce that they are from the rainbow family and not feel any guilt or shame. Men are quick to judge their fellow men or women who have openly come out of the closet. They're quick to question their sexuality and ask how they have sex. It has resulted in men leading unhappy marriages as they fear coming out of the closet and being judged for being gay. Mohr & Rochlen (1999) noted that it is easier to find a lady with a gay friend than a man relating to or being friends with a gay.
Conclusion
Men's and women's sexual minds are different. Men's sex drive is high compared to women's because of the high testosterone present in the body. The hormone makes men have a higher sexual desire than women. Some engage in multiple sexual relationships to satisfy their sexual desires, while others maintain a single relationship but engage in sex often. Low testosterone hormone may lead to poor or no functioning of the penis during erection, also known as Erectile dysfunction (ED). Men can have sex with a woman and not be in love with her. They don't base their sexual acts on emotions. Some can have sex with different women in a day. Women can be aroused sexually but not have sex with the person if the feeling is not mutual. They need to develop trust and feel secure around the person intending to have sex with. Attachment is key for women.
