Clitoral Stimulation Techniques For Intense Orgasms

Clitoral Stimulation Techniques For Intense Orgasms

By Ksenia Sobchak

The most tried and true method for women to achieve orgasm is either through direct or indirect stimulation of the clitoris. Before we plunge into that discussion, here are some information about your friend: The Clitoris.

It sits right above the vaginal entrance and where the labia minora (inner lips) meet. In most women it is a small lump of tissue containing an extremely high concentration of nerve endings that make it highly sensitive. It is usually covered by the clitoral hood which helps protect it from day to day bumps. Many people don’t realise that like an iceberg, only a small portion is visible. The majority of it is encompassed by the rest of the sexual system and reaches down to the base of the pubic bone.

Two things are interesting. First is that all female mammals have one. This is intriguing because it’s primary purpose, at least according to Wikipedia, is for sexual pleasure. This suggests that humans are not the only animals who appreciate the feeling of sex.

Second is that it is made from the same material as the penis. In fact, in men it becomes a full-fledged penis after the embryo is exposed to testosterone in the womb.

In women, the clitoris functions like a mini-penis, swelling with blood and becoming erect during arousal. In the same way, the hood of the clitoris is the similar to a man’s foreskin.

It’s also interesting to realise that it can be similar in size to the penis, even though most cannot be seen.

The main real difference between a clitoris and a penis – besides its location in the body – is that the penis is used for urination and ejaculation, while the clitoris is not.
Now that we’ve got the science out of the way, let’s talk about pleasure.

What many men and women don’t understand, is that the penis alone is usually insufficient to stimulate it. Due to its position inside a woman’s body, the ability of the penis to provide rhythmic stimulation directly to the clitoris is difficult. It is commonly believed that about 75% of women cannot orgasm from vaginal stimulation alone, so it should come as no surprise that manual stimulation of the clitoris during intercourse is frequently essential.

Clitoris Stimulation Techniques

Now, let’s talk about some stimulation techniques.

Up and Down – Just as it states, using your fingers start rubbing up and down on either side of your clitoris. As the intensity builds (and if you can handle it) start to rub directly on top of your clit.

Circular – Using multiple fingers, rub your clit in a circular motion making sure your finger run over the clit and the labia.

Want to try something a little different? Try gently squeezing the clitoris. As it is is filled with nerve endings and is super sensitive, gently squeezing the base (the non-visible portion) may provide a unique sensation.
