The Best Ways to a Bald Beaver - Ways to Remove Vaginal Hair

By Ksenia Sobchak

A nicely trimmed bush or a bald beaver is coveted by many women and men, as it’s the ultimate way to display your assets in private. It’s also considered hygienic, whilst men adore having your labia on full display, and women claim that they achieve a better orgasm without the nuisance of pubic hair.

However, anyone that regularly shaves or waxes down there knows the problems that arise. From ingrowing hair to itchy stubble it seems we pay a lot for our vanity. There are tricks you can use to ensure that you’re always hair free without the rash, and knowing the trim is not a five minute job is the first step.

Hair Removal Cream

If you don’t like the idea of waxing, or if the hair isn’t long enough to stick to the strips, hair removal cream is the ideal solution. It removes hair from as little as 2mm long and can leave you bald for up to two weeks. Make sure you choose a cream that is suitable for the bikini area as the cream used on legs can sting quite a lot when placed near your genitals. Also, for the five minutes it takes to work lock yourself in the bathroom and keep your legs open, as closing them will cause the cream to spread everywhere, leaving patches you’ll have to tidy with a razor.

Shaving

Shaving the pubic hair is a very high maintenance way to keep a bald beaver. However it’s quick it can be done in the shower, and done correctly it rarely produces in growing hairs. You need to invest in a good razor, don’t assume that the disposable you’ve just used for your legs is good enough as the area around the genitals is delicate and you need sharpness to make sure you end with a smooth finish.

Make sure you shave in the direction of the hair growth and not against it, as this will create sore spots and ingrowing hairs when the hair starts to grow back. For the labia, pull it taught as you shave in order to access all nooks and crannies. If you’re worried about missing bits, sit on the floor and place a mirror between your legs, or if you trust him/her ask your partner to do it for you.

Waxing at Home

The wax that heats up is definitely the best tool for creating your smooth mound, however be very careful as it is sometimes so powerful it can bring the top layer of skin with it. To prevent this, rub talc on the skin around the pubic hair, this will make sure if it does rip off extra only the powder will be removed. You need to be quite a contortionist to wax yourself however once you’ve mastered it you’ll never use a salon again.

Aftercare

To avoid ingrowing hairs and rashes, make sure you treat the area well afterwards. Use a sugar or salt exfoliator every day as the hair grows back as this will prevent trapped pubes under the skin. Also moisturise keeping the skin soft and supple. Remember also that pubic hair is meant to trap natural lubrication so you may need to invest in a little KY jelly during sex!
