Female orgasms have phases, and less than 20% of women achieve orgasm from vaginal stimulation; nipple stimulation can alone make a woman cum. Some facts may come as a shock, specifically orgasms.

Orgasms often sound easy and practical from writing and video scenes. However, unlike male ejaculation, female orgasm is not so black and white and is quite under-researched. Sexual pleasure should go both ways, but this is not always the case. Men achieve ejaculation more easily than women orgasm. This is because most men don't understand female orgasm, which may be related to the fact that female pleasure is often viewed as complex. This is based on the fact that female orgasm is a stigmatized topic, but this should not be the case. Remember that sex has different meanings to different people; some of these facts won't necessarily reflect your unique personal experiences. Here are five facts that you should keep in mind about orgasm. 

Female Orgasm Has Four Different Phases      

Female orgasm has four phases. They are excitement, plateau, climax, and resolution. Female anatomy is different with each woman, and how they experience these phases will differ.

Excitement  

According to Rowland & Gutierrez (2017), this phase includes all the physical responses to arousal, such as hardening of the nipples, swelling of the breasts, increased heart rate, widening of the vaginal walls, and muscle tension. Blood pressure also increases at this point, together with the breathing rate.

The Plateau

This is just the continuation of the physical changes experienced during the excitement phase. What's different is that in this phase, these physical changes intensify. The heart rate continues rising, and the clitoris might get extremely sensitive. At this point, muscle tension is also noticeable, and the outer third of the vagina swells.

Climax

 in the penultimate phase of the climax, the heart rate is at its highest. The vaginal and uterine muscles contract, and the woman experiences a feeling of release. This is also known as the conclusion of the plateau phase. This is where the woman moans and screams the highest. 

Resolution

 It simply involves the body returning to its initial stage. Some women achieve multiple orgasms and may be able to return to orgasm after this stage. Carré & Gray (2016) stated that post-orgasm is mostly associated with a sense of well-being. This is the stage of relaxation, and the time taken to relax fully will differ from one woman to the next. To some, it might go up to twenty-four hours.

Less Than 20% Of Women have Orgasm From Vaginal Penetration  

Most people believe that a woman's pleasure is achieved through penetrative sex. Though the porn you watch and common beliefs may suggest so, this is not the case. The clitoris serves as the epitome of female pleasure. Moreover, Ambler, Bieber  & Diamond (2012) stated that less than 20% of female orgasms might result from vaginal stimulation. These statistics suggest that even these women who achieve orgasm through penetration had plenty of foreplay that prepared them for orgasm. The foreplay made it easier for the thrusting of the vagina to facilitate orgasm. It's not easy for a woman to reach orgasm like a man. The female anatomy is still a mystery to many. 

The Female Pleasure Anatomy Is Complicated  

Mostly referred to as a black box, with the mysterious G-spot situated inside, the female pleasure anatomy is complex to some extent. It consists of an interconnected structure that includes the clitoris, urethra sponge, and vagina. All these parts share a nerve network that influences pleasure signals to each other. Also, these parts swell in response to arousal and stimulation. All these parts together make up what is referred to as the clitorourethrovaginal (CUV) complex. The female anatomy is, however, not that scientifically important unless you are a doctor, biology student, or practitioner specializing in female reproductive health (gynecologist). It can be important to individuals whose partners are more interested in their pleasure. But it won't hurt to do some little homework; again, it's for your good. 

Some Women Orgasm From Just Nipple Stimulation 

You know numerous female orgasms, including clitoral, G-spot, U-spot, A-spot orgasm, and nipple orgasms. Remember that it's not all about the CUV complex; according to experts, orgasm doesn't even happen at the CUV complex. Erogenous touching is quite arousing and tremendously stimulating for anybody, regardless of gender or sex. According to Hajare (2019), nipple stimulation alone can cause a woman to orgasm. That is why foreplay is important to a woman if you want to get her off.

Further research has suggested that orgasms are more neurological and not just physical. This means that most pleasure experienced comes from the mind. Think about the appeal of role-playing and fantasies; the body is only part of the bigger picture.  

The Female Orgasm Can Help Relieve Period Pain

Some women don't even know about this fact. It may come as a discovery, but it's been there ever since, and it surely works. Not everybody is into the idea of having sex on their periods for obvious reasons, but there are a few benefits of indulging in this dreadful activity. Only a small number of women know that sex during that time of the month can be useful in relieving period cramps. Most women report a high sex drive when they are on their periods. This is caused by the reduced progesterone hormone, which normally lowers the sex drive and makes people inactive in the lead-up to periods. Since orgasm may not necessarily involve penetrations, you can use other stimulation methods to help you achieve orgasm. Keep in mind that penetration is not the only way to get off. There are different roads that all lead to the same destination. The choice of whether to fling during your periods is up to you since you are the one who knows your body best and what works for it and what doesn't.

Conclusion

The definition of pleasure will differ from one person to another, and this subject is mostly personal. Funny enough, not everyone wants to orgasm during sex. Deleting the aspect of reaching a climax that brings pressure and anxiety can be quite useful for some. Sex is all about enjoying yourself as long as it is consensual. Remember that it's not always about the big O. Another thing to remember is that orgasm is more psychological than physical. In the course, to make a woman cum, she needs to be stimulated psychologically as much as physically, which will make things easier.
