How to Use a Delay Spray
By Elena Ognivtseva
Delay sprays are an immediate solution to a problem that plagues many men and causes some adverse emotional and psychological effects. For those suffering from premature ejaculation, delay sprays provide a solution that is easy and effective. Delay sprays are formulated especially for those with sensitivity related premature ejaculation. This is because if the problem is psychological then the physical solution may not be as effective.
To start off, you have to choose a delay spray that you will be using. There are branded delay sprays and generic delay sprays available in the market. With the ingredient variation, there are some that are more powerful than others and some may have adverse effects on certain skin types while others are completely safe. Always ensure that you check the product websites for comprehensive information regarding the product.
If you have bought a product and it doesn’t come with guidelines there are a few things you can do;
- Try find the instructions
- Discard the product
- Test the product anyway
If you choose to use the product, you will realize that most of them work in the same way. It is your body’s reaction to the products that makes the greatest difference;
Start Slow With Your Delay Spray
Start of by spraying once just to get a feel of how your skin reacts to the product. If one spray is enough to keep you going, then that will be enough for you. However, you can spray more times until you reach the number of sprays that work best for you. The number of sprays is determined by the product and your skin’s reaction to the ingredients in the spray. Always ensure that you do not overindulge as you may end up having no sensation which will beat the purpose of engaging in the sexual session.
Spray on Target Areas
You can spray every inch of your penis, but this would be overkill and you may end up losing sensation and this will have you not enjoying any of your well executed thrust. You can start off by spraying only the head of your penis or even just the underside. The more you experiment the more you get to understand which area to target for the best result.
Once you have sprayed your target area, gently massage the spray until it is absorbed into your skin. This usually takes from 10 to 20 seconds, but it may be longer if you have chosen to spray your shaft as well.
Spray on when Erect or Flaccid
There really isn’t any difference that will be encountered whichever choice you make. This is just a matter of pure preference based on personal choices. The spray will still be absorbed into the skin once you massage after application.
The Wait
After application, you have to wait for a few minutes for the spray to take full effect. The period of time varies from person to person but the average time is 5 to 10 minutes. This period of time can be put to good use by indulging your partner in some intense foreplay to get them in the mood. Always ensure that you wash your hands to avoid transfer. If you fail to wash your hands you may end up transferring the spray to your partner or even getting it into sensitive areas like the eyes.
To Wash or not to Wash
Once you have applied and massaged the spray, it becomes confusing whether you should wash your penis before indulging. Most products provide the directive that you should wipe off the excess with a damp cloth. While this may seem like clear instructions, it is not. Excess is a relative term and sometimes you may not see it but you may have actually applied excess.
To be on the safe side, always ensure that you wipe your penis with a damp cloth before indulging in oral or penetrative sex. This is generally to prevent the spray from being absorbed by your partner. If the spray is absorbed during penetration they end up losing sensation and needless to say that will make the session a little bit disappointing. You get to wash your penis later after the session is done.
